Privacy Policy

Jasper Tech Labs ("RipeX", "we", "us", "our") operates the RipeX platform at ripex.cloud. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal data, and the rights available to individuals. It is designed to align with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act") and, where applicable, the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR").

1. Our two roles: controller and processor

  • When we act as a data fiduciary / controller: for personal data of our own website visitors, account holders, and prospects (e.g., you sign up, contact us, or pay us), we decide how and why the data is processed.
  • When we act as a data processor: for personal data that our business customers upload into RipeX about their own customers, staff, and vendors ("Customer Data"), we process it on the customer’s instructions and for their purposes. In that case the customer is the controller/fiduciary and is responsible for lawful basis, notices, and consent.

2. Personal data we collect

  • Account & contact data: name, business name, email, phone, address, role, login credentials.
  • Billing data: plan, transaction records, and payment metadata. Card/bank details are handled by our payment gateway; we do not store full card numbers.
  • Usage & device data: log data, IP address, device/browser type, pages viewed, and actions taken, collected via cookies and similar technologies (see our Cookie Policy).
  • Support & communications: messages, requests, and correspondence you send us.
  • Customer Data: business records our customers enter (e.g., their customers’ contact details, orders, invoices), processed on their behalf.

3. How and why we use personal data

  • To provide, operate, secure, and support the Service and to authenticate users.
  • To process subscriptions, payments, invoicing, and taxes.
  • To communicate about the Service, including service, security, and transactional messages.
  • To improve and develop features, including analytics and, where enabled, AI-assisted functionality.
  • For marketing where permitted, with an option to opt out.
  • To comply with legal obligations and to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

4. Legal bases

Where the DPDP Act applies, we rely on your consent or on legitimate uses permitted by law. Where the GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of a contract; our legitimate interests (e.g., securing and improving the Service); consent (e.g., certain cookies and marketing); and compliance with legal obligations.

5. Sharing & disclosure

  • Service providers / sub-processors: hosting, cloud infrastructure, payment gateways, email/WhatsApp delivery, and analytics, under appropriate confidentiality and data-processing terms.
  • Legal & safety: where required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the Service.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
  • We do not sell personal data.

6. International transfers

We are based in India and may process data on infrastructure located in India or other countries. Where personal data protected by the GDPR is transferred outside the EEA/UK, we use lawful transfer mechanisms (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) where required.

7. Data retention

We retain personal data for as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Customer Data is retained per the customer’s instructions and our Terms; after account closure we may delete or anonymise data following a retention window of 30 Days, unless a longer period is required by law.

8. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, such as encryption in transit, access controls, and tenant isolation in our multi-tenant architecture. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, individuals may have rights to access, correct, update, and erase their personal data, to withdraw consent, to grievance redressal and nomination (DPDP Act), and — under the GDPR — to restriction, objection, and data portability. To exercise rights relating to Customer Data held on a customer’s behalf, please contact that business (the controller). 11. Children

The Service is intended for businesses and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children except as permitted by law and, where required, with verifiable parental/guardian consent.

12. Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date shows the latest revision; material changes will be notified by reasonable means.
